Three fried eggs topped with chipotle sea salt and pepper (tapatio added after pic) 4 slices of bacon and cream cheese with everything but the bagel seasoning. This is my largest and last meal of the day. Mon-Thurs I do 16:8 IF starting at 7 am and ending between 2 and 3 pm. I eat early for multiple reasons. 1. I like to eat one meal when my kids are both napping 2. I stay so busy during the last half of the day I dont want to be hungry 3. I dont like sleeping on a full stomach. Since Ive been doing #OMAD Ive been able to be a little more extravagant with my meal and have a higher net carb content per meal since I only eat one meal! I went to Chipotle and loaded up this bowl with romaine lettuce double portion of chicken 3 salsas(hot medium and corn) fajita veggies cheese sour cream and two side portions of steak! The macros were pretty good and are attached above! My Intermittent Keto diet! My window is 16 hours. I eat dinner around 6-7 pm and wait until lunch the next day before my next meal feeding my body on fat yes FAT which provides the energy our bodies and brain require to function properly. Zero snacks chips sweets and most importantly sugar along with any grains including rice or quinoa. My lunch here is the following: Avocado Himalayan Salt Green olives ground flaxseed Grassfed butter Brie or small amount of Cheese Radishes and Greens. This is one of the better ways to introduce an effective diet loose weight and feel better. In my instance it is not to loose weight but rather to gain so Fat is key along with rest during the period known as Ketosis to regenerate my body and muscles. Dinner: Can be meat or fish with other fats or neither as long as you consume the right Fat to get you through the next day without having to cheat and snack every couple of hours. Who wants to join me for a keto Whole30 next month? Ive decided I want to complete a 4th round of Whole30 for a nice month-long reset. As it implies it last 30 days and is basically a very clean version of Paleo (check out Whole30® resources for more info). Since I eat keto and stay keto while doing Whole30 the changes Ill be making will include eliminating dairy alcohol and all sweeteners (including the healthy natural ones like stevia erythritol monk fruit etc). And since Im staying keto I wont be eating the potatoes and fruit allowed with Whole30 (though I will occasional have berries as I do with keto). Water fast day 2 in the bag! See what I did there? Its in the bag!! Okay sorry… I know that was corny! Im just super excited because I made it through day 2 of a 3 day water fast. I was expecting today to be much tougher than yesterday. Even though Ive become keto adapted and typically have just one meal a day yesterday seemed crazy hard! I think the idea of not getting my one meal AND knowing it was only day 1 made the overall task seem daunting. Ive heard several times that the 2nd day is often the hardest. So I was a bit worried about what today would bring. For whatever reason however it seemed completely manageable. I stayed hydrated stayed busy and took a multi-vitamin/mineral. Two days down… one to go!
